![]() ![]() ![]() Strangely enough, I can't delete this file. I came across the file "Audacity_is1" in an Avast subfolder (please check screenshot). I also wanted to delete all files from my hard drive that were found using the “Audacity” search. Nevertheless, I uninstalled Audacity and deleted the "Win32Pup: Gen" file. (I probably didn't download the program file from the official Audacity website, but from the fake website which I had not identified as such.) I found information posted in your forum that the above file was not malware, but adware. I was then shown a file called "Win32Pup:Gen", which I had apparently downloaded together with the freeware program Audacity. Yesterday (Saturday) I ran a full scan of my laptop using Avast Premium Security.
